Covid Policy

All of us at Camp Atta Girl! take the health and well-being of our campers and counselors very seriously.

Camp Atta Girl! is a unique retreat where women connect, laugh, dance, move, smile. To make the experience the best and safest for everyone attending, we are following the guidelines of the CDC and we are recommending that every camper be vaccinated. We know that vaccinations do not keep you from getting COVID and even those vaccinated can carry COVID, catch the virus and transmit it. But vaccinations are effective per the CDC:

  • COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective at preventing COVID-19, including severe illness and death.

  • COVID-19 vaccines are effective against severe disease and death from variants of the virus that causes COVID-19 currently circulating in the United States, including the Omicron and Delta variants.

  • Infections happen in only a small proportion of people who are fully vaccinated, even with the Delta or Omicron variant. When these infections occur among vaccinated people, they tend to be mild.

  • If you are fully vaccinated, you can spread the virus to others.

  • People with weakened immune systems, including people who take immunosuppressive medications, may not be protected even if fully vaccinated.

You will need to sign a waiver whether you are vaccinated or not, showing you understand the nature of our residential retreat and that Camp Atta Girl! is not responsible for you contacting COVID. Here is a sample of that waiver: waiver example

Thank you,

The Camp Atta Girl! Team
